The story of a wolf named Freedom, who has been orphaned, hunted, shot and chased, as told in a short dance documentary
Caroline Laporte, an internationally recognized ballet dancer, was so moved by the story of "Freedom," a wolf who lost his family and was hunted for months, that she choreographed a dance in his honor. In addition to the original choreography, it features original music.
The performance, on April 25 at 4 p.m. in the Nederland Community Center Backdoor Theater, is free, though donations are accepted.
Laporte's performance is narrated by Melinda Marquis, PhD, president of Science for Colorado Wildlife. The event is a joint production of Ballet Connect and Science for Colorado Wildlife.
